Carlos Mayorga
Carlos Mayorga manages the Global Private Equity Funds portfolio at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), based in Washington, DC. Throughout his IFC career, Carlos has been a senior decision maker for debt and equity investments spanning all regions and industry sectors, totaling over $15 billion. He has managed portfolios that include investments in financial institutions, structured finance products and distressed assets, in addition to Private Equity funds.
IFC has a global team dedicated to covering Venture Capital and Growth PE funds across all its regions of operation, with an active portfolio of over $6bn committed. Investing in emerging markets PE Funds aims to provide growth capital, mobilize private investors, and develop capital markets. The creation of jobs and increased digitalization and innovation are also important themes, and IFC is committed to the continued improvement of gender balance and alignment with the Paris Agreement on climate change.
Carlos holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a BSBA from Georgetown University. In his private capacity, he is a Board member of the Fabretto Children’s Foundation, a non-profit that provides opportunities for disadvantaged children in Central America.
