Alejandro Diez Barroso

Alejandro has been working in entrepreneurship and venture capital in Mexico for the past 21 years. In 2000 he co-founded WAU Spot, a company which he sold in 2005. In that same year, Alejandro bought the rights to manage Vilebrequin in Mexico and was appointed as CEO of the company. He managed Vilebrequin Mexico during 4 years until its sale in 2009. 

From that date until today, Alejandro has been working on executing private equity and venture capital investments as an Associate in Promecap and then as founder and Managing Partner in DILA Capital. He has led the analysis, due diligence, investment process and follow-on investments of over 50 start-ups from 2013 to date, having fully invested 3 funds and a SPAC in NASDAQ. He is currently investing DILA IV.  

 Alejandro holds a BS in Economics from Universidad Iberoamericana and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in Northwestern University.
