Arturo Sánchez Correa

Arturo began his professional career as a Data Scientist in 2011 at Las Quince Letras, a company located in Mexico City dedicated to data analysis consulting, he was in charge of the analysis and development of qualitative information to obtain insights for the company.

In 2013 he moved to London, where he joined as a Data Scientist to the London company YouGov, a public opinion research company, where he was part of the team that developed YouGov Profiles product. During the same year, while pursuing his master's degree, he had the opportunity to collaborate as a Data Scientist Intern with Songkick.com, a London music startup, developing recommendation algorithms.

In 2014 he joined Index Ventures, a London-based company dedicated to venture capital funds, as investor and Head of Data Scientist. During this role he developed quantitative systems and algorithms that helped the fund identify investment opportunities globally.

Finally, in 2018 Arturo returns to Mexico to found -hand in hand with his two cofounders- Sofía, a Mexican health and technology company whose mission is to improve the way millions of people take care of their health, where he works as cofounder and CEO.

Arturo studied Applied Mathematics at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM). He has a master's degree in Science, Computational Statistics & Machine Learning, endorsed by University College London (UCL).
