Enrique Bascur
Enrique is a founding member and the Managing Partner of Australis Partners. Enrique has 25
years of experience in private equity transactions in the Latin American region, where he has led or participated in more than 30 investments in sectors such as health care, finance, energy, telecom, natural resources, hospitality and food. Prior to the formation of Australis Partners, he led the Latin America private equity group of Citigroup Venture Capital International (CVCI) and was a member of the global investment committee for CVCI. Between 1985 and 1997, Enrique was a banker at Bankers Trust and Citibank, focused on the Latin American region, based in Santiago, Caracas and New York. In the initial years of his career he worked for the Chilean Securities Market regulatory body where he was involved in the modernization of the Chilean Capital Market.
Enrique currently serves as a Board Member of Vitalmex, a surgical support services and medical device equipment supplier in Mexico; Alianza, the largest non-bank affiliated asset manager in Colombia; Galénica, an in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) company in Chile; and Sekura, a Mexican insurance and sureties broker.
Enrique earned a Civil Engineering degree from Universidad Católica de Chile and an MBA degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
