Otávio Gurgel

Otávio Gurgel is the Co-Founder and CFO of Galena, a Brazilian HRTech startup committed to revolutionizing career development through AI. Galena is building a platform that offers tailored guidance to employees by aligning skills with potential career trajectories and recommending impactful development tools based on individual aspirations. Before Galena, Otávio was with Advent International, a leading private equity investment firm, where he engaged in both new investment processes and the oversight of the firm's existing portfolio. Earlier in his career, he worked as M&A Manager at Allied, a Brazilian distributor of consumer IT products, and as an M&A associate at IGC Partners. Otávio earned his degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
